Prompt: Write about something you return to again and again.
The prompt for today, June 4th, 2026, is: Write about something you return to again and again.
I think that has to be writing.
The morning pages are one thing. I do them regularly, and they’ve become embedded in my routine. Not being able to do them with pen and paper lately has been quite difficult.
I also keep coming back to the idea of writing something more substantial. Maybe it’s a collection of essays, or a novel. At one point, I was even toying with the idea of creating a new teacher survival guide.
I want to write something.
The blog was good—and it still is—but right now it’s in its own state of transformation with this audio journal concept. I think writing something more substantial will require that it not be immediately public. It’ll have to be something I work on privately and then reveal later.
Parts of it can probably be worked through publicly through the blog—sharing ideas, exploring concepts, and thinking things through. But I think the actual project will need some privacy.
That’s a little difficult in today’s world because we want recognition for the things we’re doing right now.
Still, writing is something I often come back to. For a long time, it has been a reliable way for me to express myself, wrestle with ideas, and think through my thoughts.
So, yeah, I guess it’s a bit of a safety blanket.
I think that’s it.
