April 7, 2026: Resistance

Prompt: Where are you resisting change, even gently?

It’s in the letting go of things. I’m not a hoarder but I hold on to things longer than I need to. I see some sort of potential in bits and bobs, envisioning future projects that they’ll be good for but I’ll never get to.

I have so many empty cardboard spools for 3D printing filament.

I’m really slow to let go of things. I sold a graphics tablet on Facebook Marketplace about a month ago. I hadn’t used the thing in three, maybe four, years. I barely touched it after buying it. There’s a laser for a laser cutter sitting in my closet that I don’t even have the machine for.

Tools become infused with their purpose, themselves becoming an indivisible part of the process.
