Day 5 – Thresholds

Today’s prompt: Where are you standing between worlds, decisions, versions of yourself?

I feel like I’ve been in a moment of pursuit for quite a while. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I felt like I was standing firmly on one side or the other of a threshold. Identity, in this way is plastic, moulded by the shape of the doors through which we pass.

With that, too, it sometimes seems that crossing a threshold results in the walls coming down, opening up the space behind you, merging with the next threshold ahead. We are a collection of our experiences, which cannot be locked away behind a door, that come with us as we go through life.
